Obama slashes the Republicans

Addressing in Denver on Wednesday, President Barrack Obama stated that it was not alone in his hands to change the course of the laws-’the notion that I can change the laws unilaterally is not just true’. He went on to say that the Republicans are to be blamed for not supporting him in the reformation of immigration rules.

Before the re-elections of 2012, President Obama in a desperate attempt to save his position said that there are a lot of laws in the books to be reformed and ensured, but the path to such a situation is not easy. Quoting him,’ the truth of the matter is there are laws on the books I have to implement’.

He also said that a lot of negative actions done to the immigration laws, there by implying the Republicans of their lack of support. Referring to Republican Presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Regan, he said that they understood the necessity of the reformation of the immigration laws. His words were a forceful accusation when he asked the Americans to blame the republicans of not letting the citizenship of certain children of immigrant parents.

Amid the crisis, in the economy and the steady increase in employment he still asserted that the current Republicans lack the kind of leadership as from Bush and Regan. In his words-‘right now, you do not have that kind of leadership coming from the Republican Party’.

Immigration laws will be his main tool to attract the Hispanic voters. He is stuck in between two worlds; in one hand, he is recommending citizenship of immigrants and, on the other hand, is strengthening the immigration laws.

When asked of the deportations that have occurred in his reign, he said that the numbers were “a little misleading”. He stressed on having an “effective border control” rather than deporting illegal immigrants who are otherwise abiding by the law. He insisted that the administration had been considerate- ‘fair, just and humane’- when it came to immigration laws.

Although he did not directly stimulate the issue of Marco Rubio, he did say that he was a strong contender to the vice-presidents post, one of the highest posts in the administration. On a Saturday poll in Michigan, Rubio won 23% votes followed by Cain with 13% there by showing his strength in popularity.

The Hispanic crowd of voters has recently declined. Though, the number of Latino voters has grown, yet the Hispanic crowd is yet not being properly represented. He urged them to vote because they are not exercising their power when they are not participating. President Barrack Obama went on further, to say that he even speculates to see a Latino President soon.
